Cabrera empuja 2 veces en triunfo de Tigres ante Reales

El venezolano Miguel Cabrera empujó la carrera del empate y otra para la ventaja con lo que empató a Ted Williams en el 14mo puesto de la historia en remolques. Los Tigres de Detroit se recuperaron para vencer por 7-5 a los Reales de Kansas City y pusieron fin a una racha de cuatro derrotas.

El elevado de sacrificio de Cabrera en la quinta entrada empató el juego 3-3 y su roletazo le dio la primera carrera a los Tigres en un séptimo episodio de cuatro carreras. Empató a Williams con 1.838 empujadas.

Más adelante en la séptima, Cabrera se robó tercera y anotó con un wild throw del cátcher MJ Melendez. Fue su segunda base robada en siete campañas y su primera desde el 11 de septiembre del 2020, también un robo a tercera.

Los Reales cometieron tres errores en la séptima detrás del dominicano José Cuas (2-1), quien permitió cuatro carreras —sólo una limpia. Kansas City tuvo cuatro errores —dos del campocorto Bobby Witt Jr.— para que llegara a su fin su racha de tres victorias.

Por los Tigres, los puertorriqueños Javier Báez de 5-2 con dos anotadas, Willi Castro de 4-0 con una anotada. El venezolano Cabrera de 3-0 con una anotada y dos empujadas.

Por los Reales, el venezolano Edward Olivares de 2-0 con una anotada y una impulsada. El boricua Emmanuel Rivera de 4-1 con una empujada.
