Madison Bumgarner lanzó seis innings con pelota de un hit para su primera victoria en casi dos meses y los Diamondbacks de Arizona se impusieron el miércoles 6-1 a los Dodgers de Los Ángeles.

Bumgarner (7-15), que en su día fue nombrado MVP de la Serie Mundial, derrotó a los Dodgers por primera vez con los Diamondbacks, la primera también desde el 23 de septiembre de 2017, cuando jugaba en San Francisco. Concedió una anotación, abanicó a cinco y dio un pasaporte para reclamar el triunfo, algo que no ocurría desde el 23 de julio frente a Washington.

Con Bumgarner en la lomita, solo dos bateadores de los Dodgers lograron embasarse.

Corbin Carroll sacudió un doble con el que remolcó tres carreras y Christian Walker impulsó otras dos más para Arizona.

Dustin May (2-3) cargó con la derrota luego de una labor irregular en su sexta apertura tras someterse a una cirugía Tommy John. El derecho permitió cinco carreras y siete hits, su peor marca del año, en cuatro entradas, su salida más corta de la temporada. Además, ponchó a cuatro y concedió dos boletos.

Por los Diamondbacks, el puertorriqueño Emmanuel Rivera de 3-1, con una producida. Los dominicanos Sergio Alcántara de 3-1; Geraldo Perdomo de 4-1, con una anotada.

Por los Dodgers, el dominicano Hanser Alberto de 3-0. El cubano Miguel Vargas de 3-0.
