Xander Bogaerts sumó cuatro imparables, Alex Verdugo consiguió un par de dobletes y los Medias Rojas de Boston vencieron el viernes 7-4 a los Reales de Kansas City.

El mexicano Verdugo totalizó tres inatrapables y Boston igualó la serie de cuatro enfrentamientos a un triunfo por bando. Josh Winckowski (5-5) aceptó una carrera y cinco hits a lo largo de cinco entradas por Boston.

Zack Greinke (3-7) toleró cuatro carreras y siete imparables en cuatro innings y dos tercios por Kansas City.

Los Medias Rojas se colocaron en la pizarra en el segundo acto, cuando Eric Hosmer, expelotero de los Reales, disparó un doble por la línea del jardín derecho, para empujar a Verdugo.

Boston añadió dos carreras más en el cuarto inning. J.D. Martínez bateó un doble que estrelló la pelota contra el muro, entre el prado izquierdo y el central, para remolcar a Bogaerts y Verdugo.

El venezolano Salvador Pérez conectó un jonrón de 454 pies en el quinto inning, por Kansas City.
