Bélgica empezó a relajar la mayoría de las restricciones impuestas a raíz de la pandemia del coronavirus, la mayor reducción de las medidas desde que empezó la crisis hace dos años.

Desde el lunes ya no será necesario presentar un pase de salud para entrar a bares, restaurantes, teatros o cines. Tampoco habrá límites para la cantidad de personas en un establecimiento.

Tampoco será obligatorio ponerse la mascarilla, a excepción del transporte público e instalaciones médicas.

El gobierno anunció la semana pasada que el país de 11 millones de habitantes reduciría su nivel de alerta de naranja —el segundo más alto— al amarillo.

La cantidad de casos nuevos para la semana concluida el 5 de marzo disminuyó en 24% comparado con la semana previa, situándose en 5.854. También han bajado las hospitalizaciones y los casos en unidades de cuidados intensivos.

Otros países europeos están también levantando las restricciones impuestas a raíz de la pandemia, en momentos en que muchos gobiernos prueban una nueva estrategia de coexistir con el virus.
