Ryan Pressly logró que el venezolano Luis Torrens conectara un roletazo que terminó en matanza doble con las bases llenas en la novena entrada para preservar la ventaja y los Astros de Houston ganaron el domingo 2-1 a los Marineros de Seattle.

Seattle, que buscaba conseguir su primera barrida en casa contra los Astros, al final ganó dos de tres encuentros a los líderes de la División Oeste de la Liga Americana tras superarlos en anotaciones 12-1 el viernes y sábado.

El cubano Yordan Álvarez logró el empate con un sencillo en la octava entrada cuando iban dos outs y las bases estaban llenas; lo conectó al relevista Paul Sewald, quien había sustituido a Marco Gonzales (3-5).

Torrens pegó un roletazo en el tercer slider consecutivo de Presley; la pelota salió en dirección al tercera base Alex Bregman, que dio inicio a una doble matanza 5-4-3 y Pressly se alzó con su octavo salvamento en 10 oportunidades.

Por los Marineros, el dominicano Julio Rodríguez de 4-0. Los venezolanos Eugenio Suárez de 3-1 y Luis Torrens de 4-1, una anotada.

Por los Astros, el venezolano José Altuve de 4-0. Los cubanos Yordan Álvarez de 4-2 y Yuli Gurriel de 3-0. Los dominicanos Jeremy Peña de 4-1, una anotada, una producida, y José Siri de 4-0. El hondureño Mauricio Dubón de 4-1. El puertorriqueño Martín Maldonado de 3-1.
