Un elevado de sacrificio de Taylor Ward remolcó a Magneuris Sierra para la carrera decisiva en el 10mo inning y los Angelinos de Los Ángeles desperdiciaron el viernes una ventaja tardía de tres carreras antes de recomponerse y ganar 4-3 a los Marineros de Seattle.

Los Angelinos llegaron a la parte baja del noveno episodio con un 3-0 a su favor en la pizarra, pero Seattle anotó en tres ocasiones con dos outs para forzar el capítulo extra.

El elevado de Ward ante Paul Sewald (3-3) fue lo suficientemente profundo como para que Sierra anotase con facilidad y volviese a dar las riendas del juego a los Angelinos. Jimmy Herget lanzó un último inning perfecto para su segundo salvamento de la temporada.

Jesse Chavez (2-1) se apuntó la victoria luego de una entrada de labor con tres hits y otras tantas carreras. Sewald asumió el tropiezo tras ceder la anotación que decidió el juego.

Por los Angelinos, el venezolano Luis Rengifo de 4-2, con una anotada. El dominicano Magneuris Sierra de 4-2, con una anotada.

Por los Marineros, el venezolano Eugenio Suárez de 4-0. El dominicano Carlos Santana de 3-0.
