Shohei Ohtani jonroneó en el octavo para poner en marcha la ofensiva de los Angelinos y Taylor Ward pegó un batazo de dos carreras que puso fin al juego en el 11mo inning, en una remontada 5-3 el sábado de Los Ángeles sobre los Mellizos de Minnesota.

Era el segundo hit que decidía un juego en la carrera de Ward, en la cuarta victoria de los Angelinos en cinco juegos.

Carlos Correa jonroneó y Luis Arráez sumó tres hits para los Mellizos, que desperdiciaron una ventaja de tres carreras en el octavo y seguían un juego y medio por detrás de los Guardianes de Cleveland en el centro de la Liga Americana.

La derrota fue al registro de Emilio Pagán (3-6), que admitió el jonrón de Ward en el 11mo. Ryan Tepera (3-2) se alzó con la victoria.

Por los Mellizos, los puertorriqueños Carlos Correa de 2-2 con una anotada y dos impulsadas; José Miranda de 6-1. Por los Angelinos, el venezolano Luis Rengifo de 5-1 con una anotada. El dominicano Magneuris Sierra de 4-1 con dos remolcadas.
