Sandy Alcántara se recuperó tras su actuación más breve de la campaña, al lanzar un juego completo con pelota de seis hits, y los Marlins de Miami superaron el sábado 2-1 a los Dodgers de Los Ángeles.

El dominicano había permitido seis anotaciones, su mayor cifra de la campaña, en una labor de apenas tres capítulos y dos tercios, el 21 de agosto, ante los propios Dodgers.

Alcántara (12-6) limitó esta vez a los líderes de la División Oeste de la Liga Nacional a un jonrón solitario de Mookie Betts. El derecho elegido al Juego de Estrellas sumó 10 ponches y un par de boletos, para lograr su cuarto juego completo.

Los Ángeles amenazó en el noveno inning con un out, cuando Freddie Freeman y Will Smith batearon sencillos. Justin Turner recibió un boleto con dos outs antes de que Alcántara retirara a Joey Gallo por medio de una roleta a la inicial.

El dominicano Jerar Encarnación pegó un sencillo remolcador que rompió la igualdad en la sexta entrada y dio a Miami la ventaja. Joey Wendle y Jon Berti se embasaron por medio de sencillos dentro del cuadro con dos outs ante el abridor Dustin May (1-1).

Encarnación llegó luego con un rodado al bosque izquierdo para empujar a Wendle.

Por los Dodgers, no batearon latinoamericanos.

Por los Marlins, los dominicanos Encarnación de 1-1 con una empujada, Lewin Díaz de 3-0. El venezolano Miguel Rojas de 3-0.
